<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a filter unit which prevents a filter from causing clogging in a short time, and a dust collector using the filter unit.SOLUTION: A dust collector 1 includes: a filter unit 3 equipped with a housing 30 which has an inlet port 32, an outlet port 36, and a dust discharge port 34, and a cylindrical filter 35 for molding a path extending from the inlet port 32 to the dust discharge port 34 in the housing 30; and a dust collecting blower 5 taking in air from the inside of the housing 30. The cylindrical filter 35 is fixed only at both ends in an axial direction, so that if the air in the housing 30 is taken in by using the dust collecting blower 5, the cylindrical filter 35 is rocked by the air flowing into the housing 30 from the inlet port 32. Therefore, a lump of dust and the like adhered to the cylindrical filter 35 automatically drops from the cylindrical filter 35 when becoming a predetermined size. Consequently, by using the filter unit 3, the cylindrical filter 35 does not cause clogging, so that dust collection can be stably carried out for a long term.</p> |
