PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an object detection device whose detection accuracy of a detection object can be improved without changing an exposure condition of a camera.SOLUTION: There is provided an object detection device 1 including: an edge image creation unit 11 which creates an edge image 22 from a photographed image 21; a window region setting unit 12 which sets a window region within the edge image 22 and acquires a normal window image 23 having a window region; a pixel value correction unit 13 which, when a pixel value of a pixel within the normal window image 23 is smaller than a correction reference value, acquires a value smaller than the pixel value to thereby create a corrected window image 24; an identification value calculation unit 14 which calculates an identification value 43 indicative of a degree of existence of a detection object within the normal window image and an identification value 44 indicative of a degree of existence of the detection object within the corrected window image 24 on the basis of characteristic data 32 indicative of a characteristic of the detection object; and a determination unit 15 which determines whether the detection object exists within the window region on the basis of the identification values 43 and 44. |
