<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector with an insertion-coupling maintenance mechanism capable of reducing the size of a device into which the connector is built in a vertical direction of the device.SOLUTION: A connector 10 comprises a shell 500 and a maintenance member 600. The maintenance member 600 includes a first region 620 and a second region 640. The first region 620 includes a first arm part 632 and a first maintenance part 634, and the second region 640 includes a second arm part 652 and a second maintenance part 654. A forward end 622 of the first region 620 and a forward end 642 of the second region 640 are separately located in a pitch direction. When the connector 10 is fitted into a mating connector 80, a side surface 818 of a mating shell 810 of the mating connector 80 is inserted between the forward end 622 of the first region 620 and the forward end 642 of the second region 640. The maintenance member 600 holds the side surface 818 of the mating shell 810 by the first maintenance part 634 and the second maintenance part 654 to maintain a fitting state.</p> |
