<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve light extraction efficiency of light generated in an organic light-emitting layer in an organic EL element when the organic light-emitting layer has a structure in which sections are divided by partitions.SOLUTION: An organic EL element 10 comprises: a TFT substrate 1; a first electrode 2 provided on the TFT substrate 1 by patterning; an organic light-emitting medium layer 4 which is provided on the first electrode 2 and includes an organic light-emitting layer 6; a second electrode 7 which is provided at a position facing the first electrode 2 across the organic light-emitting medium layer 4; and partitions 3 each of which extends, on the TFT substrate 1 between the adjacent first electrodes 2, to a height exceeding that of the organic light-emitting medium layer 4, and which divide the organic light-emitting medium layer 4 into individual unit light-emitting cells. Each of the partitions 3 has a reflection part 3b which reflects light incident from the TFT substrate 1 onto the TFT substrate 1.</p> |
