PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To create print image data which represents a print image in an appropriate size when processing target image data for each piece of partial image data.SOLUTION: An image processing device executes a conversion processing to convert first partial image data of target image data into dot data and stores the first partial image data which has been converted in a storage section; and determines the necessity of a reduction processing on second partial image data on the basis of the size of a printable area and the second partial image data, after the storage processing. When it is determined that the reduction processing is required on the second partial image data, the image processing device executes a reduction processing on either the first partial image data before it has been converted, or the first partial image data which has been converted; creates first partial print image data representing a first partial print image which has been reduced in size, while executing the reduction processing using the second partial image data; and creates second partial print image data representing a second partial image which has been reduced in size, to create print image data. |
