PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a convenient image forming apparatus which changes mode in response to a request from a user.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes an operation section to be used for inputting print instruction, a receiving section which receives the print instruction from an external terminal, and mode switching means that selects standard operation mode in which printing is executed in a standard operation condition or low-noise operation mode in which printing is executed in a condition so that operation noise is made lower than in the standard operation mode. The image forming apparatus which executes printing, on the basis of an instruction from the operation section or the external terminal, includes control means for controlling the mode switching means switching the operation mode. The control means executes printing based on the instruction from the operation section, in the standard operation mode. |
