PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dresser for a screw grinding whetstone that enables a counterpart member threaded to a screw to constantly be threaded to a predetermined position in a rotary shaft direction without being influenced by the thickness of a whetstone when the whetstone is used to form a screw to which a counterpart member is threaded in the outer periphery of a workpiece.SOLUTION: A dresser 5 for a screw grinding whetstone that polishes a whetstone plate 3 provided with grinding projections 35 for grinding a screw in the outer periphery of a workpiece to trim a shape of the outer periphery of a whetstone plate 3 has a stem 52 which rotates around an axis X3 parallel with the axis X2 of the whetstone plate 3. The outer periphery of the stem 52 is provided with grooves 54A, 54B matching with the grinding projections 35 continuously in the axis X3 direction. Each of the grooves 54A, 54B is provided over the whole circumference around the axis X3 direction. Out of a plurality of grooves 54A, 54B, a groove 54A located at one end in the axis X3 direction and at least one groove 54a of grooves 54A located at the other ends are formed shallower than the other groove 54B. |
