PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To implement light emission without being affected by charging recycle time when taking a stroboscopic photograph.SOLUTION: A light emitting device 100 comprises an LED 7 that irradiates light to illuminate a subject by the LED. The light emitting device further comprises: a first power source 1; and a second power source 2 charged by the first power source 1. Under a control of a microcomputer 12, a power source control unit 5 is configured to perform a light emission control of the LED by switching any one of the first power source and the second power source as an input power in response to a light emission current when emitting the LED.
