<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a negotiable medium processing device and negotiable medium processing method capable of preventing an occurrence of miscalculation by preventing double-calculation of a negotiable medium reinserted into a machine body.SOLUTION: A negotiable medium processing device 10 includes: an identification section (e.g., paper sheet identification section 26) that identifies a negotiable medium inserted into a machine body by an insertion section (e.g., a paper sheet insertion section) and, on that occasion, acquires an identification number of the negotiable medium; a storage section 84; and a control section 80 that causes the storage section 84 to store, for the negotiable medium that is inserted into the machine body by the insertion section and identified by the identification section, the identification number of the negotiable medium acquired by the identification section. The control section 80 collates the identification number of the negotiable medium that is inserted into the machine body by the insertion section and identified by the identification section, with the identification number of the negotiable medium stored in the storage section 84.</p> |
