PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a film capacitor in which no opening portion occurs between a meal laminate film and a bus bar, and reduction of the capacitor characteristic such as reduction of capacitance or the like can be suppressed even when the bus bar is configured to have relatively large thickness so that large current can flow through the bus bar, and a method of manufacturing the film capacitor.SOLUTION: A film capacitor has a capacitor element, a bus bar connected to the capacitor element and a metal laminate film having a first resin layer formed on one principal surface thereof. The first resin layer faces the capacitor element, and an exterior member which covers the capacitor element and the bus bar is provided. A part of the bus bar is drawn out to the outside of the exterior member, and a second resin layer containing acid modified resin is formed between the first resin layer and the bus bar at the draw-out portion of the exterior member from which the part of the bus bar is drawn out. |
