PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information providing device that allows for execution of a guidance about a rest supposed to be taken at appropriate timing.SOLUTION: A terminal device 100 comprises an output unit 11, a GPS receiver 16, and a control unit 17. The control unit 17 is configured to: acquire information about a current location of a vehicle Ve from the GPS receiver 16; cause the output unit 11 to output resting information to a driver for prompting the driver to take a rest, when a continuous driving time has reached two hours serving as a standard time of a resting threshold Tth; and change the resting threshold Tth from two hours of the standard time on the basis of a location relationship between the vehicle Ve and a rest facility.
