<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress jaggy of a contour section and blur of whole image with simple processing.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus 100 performs gradation expression by a dot number formed per unit area. The image forming apparatus 100 includes: a process section; a storage section 300; and a control section 200. The process section includes an optical scanner 3 and a development device 4A. The storage section 300 stores the relation between a candidate set value of the process section and a density ratio. The control section 200 detects a maximum pixel value in a set area in set area image data, acquires a pixel value ratio of the maximum pixel value in the set area with respect to a standard maximum pixel value, specifies an adjustment set value corresponding to the density ratio equivalent to the pixel value ratio on the basis of the relation, sets the adjustment set value to the process section, and corrects each of the pixel values of the set area image data with a ratio in which the maximum pixel value in the set area becomes a pixel value of the standard maximum density.</p> |
