PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that in a method of recording into a magnetic storage medium by a tile recording method, erasure object data cannot be completely erased by overwriting dummy data a plurality of times on the area of the erasure object data.SOLUTION: An information processing device for recording data into a magnetic storage medium by a tile recording method and a method of controlling the same are disclosed. When data rewriting of the magnetic storage medium is instructed, data except rewriting subject data in a zone where the rewriting subject data is stored is copied to the unused zone of the magnetic storage medium, the rewriting data is stored in the copied unused zone, the entire zone where the rewriting subject data is stored is overwritten by predetermined data and erased, and the overwritten zone is registered as an unused space. |
