PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a copper alloy material for connector terminals, which can reduce the amount of Cu used, has high corrosion resistance, and can reduce contact resistance; and to provide a method for producing the same.SOLUTION: A copper alloy material for connector terminals includes: a Cu-Fe alloy base 10 that contains from 30-50% by mass of Fe; and a porous Cu layer 30 that is arranged on the surface of the base and does not substantially contain Fe, wherein the thickness of the Cu layer is 1-10 μm. A method for producing a copper alloy material for connector terminals comprises: a preparation step for preparing the Cu-Fe alloy base 10 that contains from 30-50% by mass of Fe; an oxidation step for forming an Fe oxide layer 20 on the surface layer of the base 10, while forming the porous Cu layer 30 in which holes 31 are formed, within the Fe oxide layer 20 by subjecting the base 10 to an oxidation heat treatment in an oxidizing atmosphere, the porous Cu layer lacking of Fe; and a removal step for removing the Fe oxide layer 20, thereby having the Cu layer 30 exposed on the surface of the base 10. |
