<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light emitting device allowing an end part in a light emitting region to continue light emission when a seal surface of a seal member has a plurality of recesses of a moderate size.SOLUTION: A light emitting device 100 includes a substrate 110, a light emitting element, a seal member 180, and a resin member 184 (fixing member). The light emitting element is formed on the substrate 110 and has a first electrode 120, an organic layer 130 and a second electrode 140. The seal member 180 seals the light emitting element and is fixed to the substrate 110 with the resin member 184. The light emitting device 100 further includes a coating member 192. The coating member 192 covers the boundary between a side surface 181 of the seal member 180 and a side surface 185 of the resin member 184.</p> |
