PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable reduction of power required for manufacturing of a bag-shaped separator, and suppress deformation and distortion when the bag-shaped separator is manufactured by heat-welding.SOLUTION: A bag-shaped separator accommodates an electrode sheet for a power storage device, and has a first sheet portion and a second sheet portion confronting the first sheet portion. The first sheet portion contains a porous first thermoplastic resin layer. The second sheet portion also contains a porous second thermoplastic resin layer. At least the first sheet portion has a porous heat-resistant layer formed on at least one principal surface of the first thermoplastic resin layer. A first peripheral edge portion of the first sheet portion and a second peripheral edge portion of the second sheet portion form an overlap portion. The overlap portion has an open area and a joint area. In the joint area, the first peripheral edge portion and the second peripheral edge portion are joined to each other by plural dot-shaped welding portions.
