PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the adhesion of slug to an area between a burner outer circumferential portion and a fire furnace wall and suppressing generation of clinker.SOLUTION: A burner device 13 comprises: a nozzle group 20G configured so that a plurality of upper and lower burner nozzles 20 injecting an air-fuel mixture 105 containing a powder fuel 100 and producing a flame in a direction into a fire furnace 11 is arranged vertically; and a gas injection nozzle 60S injecting gas 108 toward a hood panel 45 that is provided on at least one of an upper end and a lower end of the nozzle group 20G in a vertical direction of the nozzle group 20G, that closes a gap between a fire furnace wall 12 of the fire furnace 11 and the nozzle group 20G, and that is inclined toward inside of the fire furnace wall 12, or injecting the gas 108 along the hood panel 45.
