<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engine control device capable of detecting the abnormality of a crank angle counter formed by hardware.SOLUTION: The engine control device includes a first crank angle counter formed by hardware, having a pulse detecting part for detecting the pulses of a crank signal from a crank angle sensor mounted on an engine, and measuring pulse intervals, an angle clock generating part for multiplying the pulse intervals by a predetermined multiplication value to generate an angle clock, and a counter part for operating on the basis of the angle clock, a second crank angle counter formed by software, for operating on a CPU on the basis of the detection of the pulses by the pulse detecting part, and an abnormality detecting part for detecting the abnormality of the first crank angle counter through the comparison of a value of the first crank angle counter with a value of the second crank angle counter.</p> |
