<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a textile product which can provide a yarn overcoming the defects of a metal wire core yarn prone to cause an injury due to piercing or wire breakage and retaining hardness, and which, when used for a worker's garment or a textile product indispensable for work in a food production factory, enables the detection and finding of the fragment or broken piece thereof mixed into food by a metal detector, thereby keeping a food loss to a minimum and being capable of contributing to rational and economical factory management; and to provide a textile product which enables checking by a metal detector instead of weak X-ray irradiation for checking the residue of a textile product such as gauze or the fragment or broken piece thereof in the body of a patient after a surgical operation at a medical care site.SOLUTION: A laminated film having a sandwich structure made of two copper foils having a thickness of 5-15 microns and a plastic film is slit, and a fabric is obtained in such a way that a yarn (a slit copper foil pleated yarn) obtained by winding a slit copper foil around another yarn as a core in a pleated shape is interwoven or interknitted as part of the fabric. When the fabric is used as at least part of a component raw material, there can be provided a textile product whose broken piece or fragment can be detected by a needle detector or metal detector. The slit copper foil pleated yarn may also be made by using a laminated film having a sandwich structure made of two plastic films having a thickness of 4-12 microns and a copper foil having a thickness of 5-15 microns.</p> |
