<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a detachable orthodontic appliance that imparts a persistent proper force to each of dentitions of upper and lower jaws from a deciduous dentition period to the formation and completion of permanent dentitions.SOLUTION: An orthodontic appliance is characterized in that shape memory alloys 3 are embedded in an outer peripheral wall 2, an inner peripheral wall 4 and an occlusal surface 5 of each of upper and lower jaws of a U-shaped mouthpiece 1 formed from an elastic material or a flexible material, respectively.</p> |
