A process of making banana blossom embotido comprising the steps of: selecting, cleaning, and chopping good quality banana blossom; soaking the chopped banana blossom in water to avoid discoloration; chopping the carrots, tofu, onion and garlic; squeezing out the water of the banana blossom; measuring 10 grams salt, 50 grams grated cheese, 13 grams ground black pepper, 30 grams chopped onion, 30 grams chopped garlic, 30 grams milk powder, 30 grams chopped carrots, 150 grams chopped tofu, 50 grams raisin, 2 pcs. egg, 200 grams potato starch and 800 grams chopped banana blossom; mixing all the measured ingredients to form a well-blended banana blossom mixture; measuring 200 grams of mixture; rolling the mixture in greased aluminum foil; twisting both ends of the aluminum foil; steaming the embotido for 40 minutes; removing the embotido from the steamer; and allowing the embotido to cool. |
