摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a failure detection device capable of accurately detecting a failure of a bypass diode, and to provide a solar power generation system having the same.SOLUTION: A failure detection device according to one embodiment includes: a breaker that electrically connects or disconnects wiring connected to a solar cell string having a bypass diode; a control unit that outputs a control signal for electrically disconnecting the wiring by opening the breaker; a DC power source that applies voltage to the solar cell string divided by the breaker, after the opening of the breaker; a current measuring unit that measures a measurement current value flowing to the solar cell string divided by the breaker; a temperature measuring unit that measures air temperature; a data acquisition unit that acquires information on an applied voltage value, the measurement current value and the air temperature; a theoretical value calculation unit that calculates a theoretical value of current on the basis of a property of the bypass diode and the information on both the voltage value and the air temperature; and a determination unit that determines whether or not the bypass diode has a failure, on the basis of the measurement current value and the theoretical value.
