摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid-state image sensor which enables high-precision ranging even in a peripheral section thereof.SOLUTION: Each of ranging pixels 110a arranged in a peripheral section 100a of a solid-state image sensor 100 has a microlens 101 having a center axis 1 offset from a center axis 2 of the ranging pixel 110a, and a plurality of waveguides comprising a first waveguide 103 and a second waveguide 102, the first waveguide 103 being located in a direction opposite an offset direction of the microlens 101, relative to the center axis 2 of the ranging pixel 110a, projected on a line connecting a center of the first waveguide 103 and a center of the second waveguide 102 (projected offset direction), and the second waveguide 102 being located in the same direction as the projected offset direction of the microlens 101 relative to the center axis 2 of the ranging pixel 110a. The first waveguide 103 is greater than the second waveguide 102 in terms of at least either of a core-cladding refractive index difference and core cross-sectional area.
