摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide technology for suppressing temperature rise of a sub motor drive system by increasing output voltage of a main battery beforehand in correspondence to demand output of a sub motor, which is necessary for avoiding slip.SOLUTION: An electric vehicle disclosed in the specification comprises a main motor for traveling, a sub motor driving during slip, and a battery supplying electric power to the sub motor. The electric vehicle further comprises a slip frequency detection means detecting slip frequency of drive wheels, and a controller controlling the battery. The controller determines, from the slip frequency, demand output to be outputted by the sub motor during slip (S3), and determines, from the current output voltage and the demand output of the battery, estimated current flowing in the sub motor during slip (S4). The controller then increases the output voltage of the battery when the estimated current exceeds a current threshold set depending on temperature of the sub motor (S8).</p>
