<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus which is capable of stably forming an image by effectively removing deposits from image formation parts of a latent image carrier, a cleaning member, and a charging member, and the like.SOLUTION: In an image non-forming state, a photoreceptor drum 32 is rotated forward or backward after forward and backward rotation operation of repeating forward rotation and backward rotation of the photoreceptor drum 32, to remove paper powder caught between a photoreceptor cleaning blade 35 and the photoreceptor drum 32, and then idling operation of rotating the photoreceptor drum 32 forward is performed during a plurality of circulating movements of a charging roller 33, whereby deposits such as toner deposited on the surface of the charging roller 33 are removed by a cleaning roller 100. In addition, a check valve 106 is provided in order to prevent backward flow of removed materials during backward rotation operation.</p> |
