PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust gas temperature reducing device capable of efficiently lowering temperature of exhaust gas of high temperature.SOLUTION: An exhaust gas temperature reducing device includes: an engine 11; an exhaust gas post-treating device 12 connected to the engine 11; a tail pipe 14 leading exhaust gas 16 from the exhaust gas post-treating device 12, and jetting out that from a tip end opening portion; and a diffuser 15 which has an inner diameter larger than the tail pipe 14, is provided with a base end opening portion close to the tip end opening portion of the tail pipe 14, and take in air around a tip end portion of the tail pipe 14 with the exhaust gas 16 by an ejector effect generated due to the entry of the exhaust gas jetted out from the tip end opening portion. At the tip end opening portion of the tail pipe 14, a jetting port 14a for discharging the exhaust gas 16 jetted to the inside of the diffuser 15 in at least two different directions is provided.
