PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus capable of easily implementing desired skin color expression.SOLUTION: An image processing apparatus includes: a skin region extraction unit for extracting a skin region from image data; a chromaticity calculation unit for calculating hue information and saturation information on the skin region; a hue conversion unit for converting the hue information so that the hue information agrees with target information; an acceptance unit for accepting an instruction to change the saturation information; a parameter determination unit for determining a conversion parameter on the basis of the change instruction; and a saturation conversion unit for converting the saturation information on the basis of the conversion parameter.
