<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a subject detection performance in the case where a subject is present in an imaging area where a high-luminance area of the subject and an outdoor illumination or the like is mixed in a low-luminance area in the night or the like and on a road in the rain.SOLUTION: Regarding high luminance equal to or higher than 110% of an automatic exposure control video image of a lens iris value, an amplification factor, electronic shutter control or a photodiode storage time, the high luminance equal to or higher than 110% of a main line video image is exchanged with an average picture level (APL) video signal from which a video signal of high luminance equal to or higher than 110% of a screen is removed, before signal processing, thereby suppressing sinking of an intruder video image. The high luminance equal to or higher than 110% of the main line video image is exchanged with the APL video signal of the screen before signal processing and further, a video signal applying two-dimensional low-pass filtering to the periphery of an unwanted region exchanged with the APL video signal, is outputted as a main line video signal.</p> |
