PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a navigation system capable of easily registering a house location.SOLUTION: The navigation system includes: a location detection section 10 for detecting a current location PN of a vehicle 2; a start/stop signal reception section 11a for receiving a stop signal from an IG switch 4 for stopping the drive source of the vehicle 2; and an ECU 11 for, when the house location is not registered, and the current location PN detected by the location detection section 10 is not pertinent to a house inappropriate location set as an inappropriate place as the house location, registering the current location PN as the house location under a condition that the start/stop signal reception section 11a receives the stop signal.
