PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid generation of a motor current exceeding an allowable current value, without providing a current sensor or the like for detecting a motor current.SOLUTION: A driving apparatus for a DC fan motor 24 comprises: a driver circuit 23 to which an input DC voltage Vdc is inputted; a DC fan motor 24 to which output of the driver circuit 23 is applied; and a control device 20 for giving a rotation speed command voltage Vsp to the driver circuit 23. The control device 20 includes: a control function for driving the DC fan motor 24 at a predetermined rotation speed; and a current limit function for limiting a motor current within an allowable current value. Specifically, the control device 20 determines whether the input DC voltage Vdc is lower than a predetermined voltage threshold value and if the input DC voltage Vdc is lower than the voltage threshold value, it is determined that the motor current may exceed the allowable current value, thereby decelerating the rotation speed of the DC fan motor 24. |
