<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus and a process cartridge which prevent transportation of untransferred toner by a transport member from being hindered in a cleaning part during image formation to hardly bring about failure of deposition on an image carrier of the untransferred toner which is not transported to the outside of the cleaning part by the transport member to remain in a position facing the image carrier when operation of the apparatus is stopped.SOLUTION: The process cartridge includes a flexible member 2c which is rotated along with a transport coil 2b in accordance with rotational driving of the transport coil 2b to come into contact with a photoreceptor drum 1 when an image is not formed. The process cartridge includes a spindle 2e which controls the stop position of the flexible member 2c so that the flexible member 2c which stops rotation without interlocking with rotational driving of the transport coil 2b during image formation is located on the side of an area where a cleaning blade 2a is not installed, out of two areas divided by a virtual plane passing the center of rotation of the transport coil 2b and the center of rotation of the photoreceptor drum 1.</p> |
