PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elevator system, which can rescue a passenger by moving the passenger from one car to the other car of two cars whose back faces opposite to doorways face each other.SOLUTION: An elevator system 10 comprises: two cars 14 whose back faces 22 opposite to doorways 20 face each other; and rescue devices 36 that are respectively stored in the two cars 14 in a folded state at a usual time and expanded from the folded state to be hung across a rescue zone between the back faces of the two cars 14 at the time of emergency. |
