<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oxygen separation method and an oxygen separator excellent in recovery efficiency for heat discharged in oxygen separation by pressure swing adsorption at high temperature.SOLUTION: An oxygen separator for separating oxygen from oxygen-containing gas using adsorption/desorption of oxygen to/from adsorbent in response to pressure variation, comprises: first and second adsorption towers each loaded with the adsorbent; a gas supply system alternately supplying the oxygen-containing gas to the first and second adsorption towers to cause the adsorbent to adsorb oxygen under a relatively high pressure; pressure reduction means alternately supplying pressure to the first and second adsorption columns to which the oxygen-containing gas is not supplied to cause the adsorbent to desorb the oxygen under a relatively low pressure; and heating means heating the oxygen-containing gas supplied to the first and second adsorption towers to a predetermined temperature, and further comprises a heat recovery system recovering heat from deoxygenated gas and concentrated oxygen alternately discharged from the first and second adsorption towers and supplying the recovered heat to the oxygen-containing gas supplied to the first and second adsorption towers.</p> |
