PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate a magic state with small resources.SOLUTION: A magic state generation device includes a first quantum encoder, a magic state extractor, a second quantum encoder and a quantum error detector. The first quantum encoder encodes the magic state of a physical quantum bit into an encoded magic state of level 1. The magic state extractor inputs (n) pieces of encoded magic states of level L, performs error detection in reading an encoded quantum bit of the level L, performs post-selection in which the encoded quantum bit is accepted only when no error is detected, and outputs (k) pieces of encoded magic states of level L with a lower error probability. The second quantum encoder encodes the encoded magic state of the level L into an encoded magic state of level (L+1). The quantum error detector performs error detection on the encoded magic state of the level (L+1) and obtains an error-removed encoded magic state of the level (L+1). |
