PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a CCD camera apparatus having a performance that is not inferior to a large-sized CCD element, by using a plurality of inexpensive small-sized CCDs.SOLUTION: A small-sized aggregate CCD camera apparatus includes: one large small-sized aggregate CCD in which a plurality of small-sized CCD elements are aligned and arranged on the same plane; a movable frame for fixing the small-sized aggregate CCD; a moving mechanism for moving the movable frame within the substantially same plane as the plane on which the plurality of small-sized CCD elements are arranged; a sensor for measuring a three-dimensional position of the small-sized aggregate CCD; a control section that performs various kinds of control; and a memory for storing various kinds of information. Three-dimensional coordinate positions of four corners of the small-sized CCD elements forming the small-sized aggregate CCD are measured beforehand, coordinates of a dead zone portion that cannot be imaged by the small-sized aggregate CCD, are stored in the memory. The three-dimensional positions are measured by the sensor at an initial position of the movable frame, and first imaging is performed. The moving frame is then moved to a range which is not overlapped by the dead zone portion, by the moving mechanism, the three-dimensional positions are measured and second imaging is performed. |
