PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an alkaline storage battery capable of achieving high output while maintaining the strength of separator.SOLUTION: An alkaline storage battery 1 comprises an electrode group which includes a positive electrode 10, a negative electrode 20 and a separator 30, the positive electrode 10 and the negative electrode 20 being wound with the separator 30 interposed therebetween. The separator 30 includes: a first separator 31 formed of polyolefin unwoven fabric that is subjected to sulfuric acid treatment and corona discharge treatment; a second separator 32 formed of polyolefin unwoven fabric that is not subjected to hydrophilic treatment; and a third separator 33 formed of polyolefin unwoven fabric that is subjected to hydrophilic treatment other than sulfuric acid treatment. |
