<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the processing time for alternate transfer processing on a reading and conveyance path of a document and a recording target medium having an image formed thereon.SOLUTION: A composite device 1 passes a document on a document placing tray 6 through a second conveying unit 12 with a first conveying unit 11, reads an image of the document with a reading unit 5, and forms an image on a sheet P on the basis of the image with an image forming unit 4. The composite device 1 passes the sheet P having the image formed thereon from a fifth conveying unit 15 through the second conveying unit 12 to be ejected to a sheet ejection tray 7. In an operation mode to alternately convey the document and sheet P on the second conveying unit 12, the composite device 1 performs at least one of conveyance of a document G in a document conveyance direction on a reading and conveyance path 12a at anα-time conveying speed and conveyance of the sheet P in an opposite document conveyance direction, and moves a movable reading unit 5a of the image reading unit 5 in the same direction as the conveyance at a speed slower than theα-time conveying speed by a reading linear velocity Vread.</p> |
