<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress wear of a cleaning member while suppressing consumption of toner.SOLUTION: An image forming unit 10 includes a photoreceptor drum 11, a charging roll 12, an exposure device 13, a developing device 14 having a developing roll 14a, a transfer unit 15, and a cleaning device 16 having a cleaning blade 16a. The developing device 14 uses a developer including a carrier, toner, and external additive, and supplies a developing bias, in which an AC developing bias is superimposed on a DC developing bias, to the developing roll 14a. When an inter-image area on the photoreceptor drum 11 passes through a developing area, the developing device 14 performs setting to increase a peak-to-peak value of the AC developing bias compared with the case where an image area on the photoreceptor drum 11 passes through the developing area.</p> |
