<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of being unable to efficiently wipe out and remove a deposited liquid, when wiping out and cleaning the liquid stuck to a landed member by a wiping-out member.SOLUTION: An image formation device includes: an electrode plate 101 arranged in an area opposable to a recording head 4 and forming a landed surface for landing a droplet discharged from a nozzle of the recording head 4; a wiper member 202 for wiping out and cleaning the landed surface of the electrode plate 101 along a nozzle arrangement direction by detecting the presence/absence of droplet discharge by detecting an electric change caused when the droplet discharged from the nozzle of the recording head 4 lands the landed surface; and means for performing a control for making a cleaning droplet to be discharged to the landed surface before wiping out the landed surface of the electrode plate 101 by the wiper member 202, and for making a discharge quantity in discharge of the cleaning droplet on the downstream side in the wiping-out direction larger than that on the upstream side in the wiping-out direction.</p> |
