The present invention relates to a wearable device for harvesting energy and a controlling method thereof. The wearable device for harvesting energy according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: a control unit to control each unit of the wearable device; an electric wave collection unit which is formed from a meta material and collects an electric wave; an energy receiving unit to receive the electric wave collected by the electric wave collection unit to convert the electric wave into electric energy; a communication unit to communicate with an external electronic device; a power source unit to store the electric energy converted by the energy receiving unit; at least one energy transmission unit to transmit the electric energy; and at least one storage module to store the external electronic device. The control unit determines whether the external electronic device is stored in the storage module, determines whether the external electronic device is electrically charged based on electricity charging information of the external electronic device received via the communication unit, and transmits the electric energy stored in the power source unit to the external electronic device via the energy transmission unit if it is determined that the external electronic device stored in the storage module needs to be electrically charged.
