<p>The invention relates to a support (10) for a handling apparatus such as a crane (3), said articulated support being intended to be fixed to a mobile chassis (1) such as a forestry tractor chassis, said support comprising: a platform assembly (20) defining a main plane, a platform (30) intended to support the handling apparatus, the platform being secured to the platform assembly by way of a first ball-joint connection (40) comprising a ball (41) that is secured to the platform assembly and engages with a ring (46) fixed under the platform such that a centre of the ball forms a centre of rotation of the ring on the ball, and rotation prevention means for preventing rotation of the ring on the ball joint along an axis perpendicular to the platform. The support according to the invention is characterized in that the rotation prevention means comprise a flange (50) of which: a first end (51) is secured to the ring (46) of the first ball-joint connection, and a second end (52) is secured to the platform assembly (20) by way of a second ball-joint connection (60).
