INTRA PREDICTION METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR VIDEO CODING

Disclosed is a method for intra-screen prediction for video encoding. The method includes the steps of: determining a candidate prediction mode to perform intra-prediction with respect to a current block by using at least one encoding information from a block, adjacent to the current block performing intra-screen prediction, and a higher block having the size lager than that of the current block; and determining an optimal prediction mode with respect to the current block based on the candidate prediction mode.
