PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a current sensor which detects, in a distribution network, current phenomena leading to electrical disturbances such as an electrical arc, leakage currents, and stray currents.SOLUTION: A current sensor comprises: magnetic flux sensors 14, 15, 16, 17, and 18 for sensing a magnetic flux generated by a current flowing in an electrical conductor and for providing a signal representative of the current; and a processor for acquiring the signal from the magnetic flux sensor, for detecting an electrical disturbance on the current, and for providing electrical disturbance data. The current sensor may also comprise ring-shaped magnetic structures 6, 7, 8, and 9 for receiving the electrical conductor and openings 10, 11, 12, and 13 within the ring-shaped magnetic structures for receiving the magnetic flux sensors. |
