Provided is a technology for easily discovering a device as the object of work, and for assisting reliable work. A work managing device is characterized by being provided with: a storage unit storing information about a unique color code affixed to a work object item, and content information for assisting work to be done to the work object item; a color code reader unit that determines whether a subject of picture information received from another device includes a color code matching the unique color code affixed to the work object item; a work guide unit that, when the subject of the picture information includes the color code matching the unique color code affixed to the work object item, transmits to the other device the content information for assisting the work to be done to the work object item of a type indicated by the color code; and a work result managing unit that receives picture information and position information from the other device for each of predetermined work steps included in the content information, and that stores the information in the storage unit.
