The present invention generally relates to methods for providing darkness therapy for altering biological rhythms. Specifically, embodiments of the present invention are directed to the process of employing an optical device configured to block certain wavelengths of light while allowing other wavelengths to pass through in order to provide significant biologically therapeutic effects.
