What is presented is the foot-and-mouth disease strain Aphtae epizooticae type A, Picornaviridae family, Aphtovirus genus deposited in the collection of FGBU VNIIZZh (Federal State Budgetary Institution Federal Animal Healthcare Centre), under the registration number the foot-and-mouth disease strain A No.2171/Kabardino-Balkar/2013. The strain is reproducible in a primary trypsinised monolayer swine kidney cell culture, grafted cell cultures PSGK-30, VNK-21 and IB-RS-2. For 18÷24 incubation hours, the viral infectious activity titre in the above cell culture achieves 6.0÷7.5 lg TCD/cm.EFFECT: presented viral strain can be used in producing and controlling the biological preparations for the diagnostics and specific prevention of the foot-and-mouth disease type A.1 dwg, 6 tbl, 6 ex
