PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transmitter capable of achieving fault-tolerant data transmission, by preventing data loss even upon occurrence of failure on a path, and to provide a receiver and a data transfer system.SOLUTION: A transmitter 100 divides original data A into (a) and b, and adds redundant data p, before transmitting the (a) and p by using R1 path, transmitting the b by using R2 path, and further transmitting the p by using R3 path to a receiver 200. The transmitter transmits one (a) of the division data and redundant data p to a fastest path. The receiver receives the information transferred from each path, and restores the original data A from the header information given to each information. When one of the (a) or b is missing, the receiver generates another by the other and redundant data p.
