<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a synthetic aperture radar system capable of detecting a moving object which is hard to detect due to waves on the entire surface of the sea and waves (wake) generated thereby.SOLUTION: The synthetic aperture radar system has an SAR signal processing section 9 that generates plural SAR images corresponding to the received video signals by using plural chirp systems and transmission signals of plural frequencies. The plural SAR images generate a position declination different from each other depending on a transmission method of the signals and the Doppler frequency of a target reflecting the radio waves. The synthetic aperture radar system has a wake detection section 10 that uses the characteristics above to perform positioning of plural SAR images and to calculate the differences to thereby detect a wake by cancelling the influence of the waves on the entire surface of the sea.</p> |
