SYSTEMS, METHODS, AND COMPUTER PROGRAM PRODUCTS PROVIDING A YIELD MANAGEMENT TOOL THAT ENHANCES VISIBILITY OF RECOVERY RATES OF RECOVERED AND DISPOSED ASSETS

A yield management system for dynamically enhancing visibility of yield rates realized for one or more recovered assets is provided. The system is configured to retrieve disposition data associated with a plurality of activities undertaken with handling and processing of one or more recovered assets for disposal thereof and comprising at least one component of disposition cost. Based thereon the system calculates a yield rate for each of said one or more recovered assets, compares said calculated yield rate to one or more market yield rates to identify one or more discrepancies, and if discrepancies exist, generate an indication thereof. A conservation logistics system is also provided, which calculates an index value along a consolidated index scale, compares said index value to one or more pre-determined goals so as to identify one or more discrepancies, and if discrepancies exist, facilitates implementation of one or more conservation logistics initiatives.

1. A yield management system for dynamically enhancing visibility of yield rates realized for one or more recovered assets or commodity items upon disposition thereof, said system comprising:
one or more memory storage areas containing market data identifying one or more market yield rates for various recovered assets or commodity items; and one or more computer processors configured to:
(A) receive input data associated with said one or more holders of said one or more recovered assets or commodity items and comprising at least an initial value and a disposition value of said one or more assets or commodity items;(B) retrieve disposition data associated with a plurality of activities undertaken with handling and processing of said one or more recovered assets or commodity items for disposal thereof and comprising at least one component of disposition cost;(C) calculate a yield rate for each of said one or more recovered assets or commodity items, said calculation being based at least in part upon said initial value, said disposition value, and said disposition costs;(D) compare said calculated yield rate to said one or more market yield rates to identify one or more discrepancies there-between; and(E) in response to identifying said one or more discrepancies, generate and transmit an indication thereof to at least one user of said system so as to dynamically enhance visibility of said calculated yield rate relative to said one or more market yield rates.
