[Class 99(ii)] A scraper for removing deposit from pipes comprises an openended 'bucket 2 of tapered form having near its narrow end a pivoted flap 5 adapted to rise and allow obstructions to pass when the bucket is lowered or pulled in one direction, and adapted to close the end of the bucket when the latter is pulled in the other direction. Looped straps 9, 10 are provided at one or both ends for the attachment of ropes.
